President Wayne Bedor began the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

·      Rick Routh Matt Simonson out program for today

·      Dick Pearson introduced us to Lynn Hathlin the manager at North City Market with member ship paperwork in hand, and Debra Layo a FLC Graduate and web designer. Debra is one of our GSE finalists for the trip to France next year.   

·      Tom Galbreth introduces himself as he is on a leave of absence

·      Walter Nowotny welcomes Jim Nolan who surprisingly is still in Durango. Jim tells story about air force Chow Line and tied it to projecting your voice.  

·      Tami introduces for the first time fiancé Jim Duke

·      Bud Poe Eddie Cheung and lovely wife 

Announcements:

·      Pot Luck – Holiday Party BYOB / Potluck. We wanted to get together and still have some Cheer Bring December 16th 5:30 to 8:30 at the Rec. Center thought up and sponsored by Dick Sullivan and Dan McCarthy. Thanks to Ted Weirather for taking care of the BYOB portion of the party!!

·      We Still need Salvation Army Bell Ringers for next week to stand up to our long tradition / competition vs Kiwanis

·      Dictionary LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01delivery meeting after today meeting

·      Eddie Chung promoting the Christmas party at the Shelter party on December 17th. 

·      Cathy Project Merry Christmas / Dick and Jane Pearson donated reusable bags to stuff for Project Merry Christmas Delivery will be December 18th.  Please bring non perishable food please no glass and items that are really needed peanut butter, noodles, kid friendly canned chicken / tuna protein.

·      Please send or tell Jill Carithers any ideas you might have for the Red Ball Gift Basket. We need to put together a package of gifts totaling $500.00

·      Jakob soccer was great unfortunately lost in the ¼ finals. Went to AZ for club soccer and had a $15 Thanksgiving meal at some restaurant this was not quite the Thanksgiving that Tammy had dreamed of Moved in with Chip and Sara and really likes Chips cooking.

Alopecic means loss of hair.  Lynn Hathlin form North City Market guessed correctly!!

·      Ted and his Wife and dog went down to Texas to for Thanksgiving. Ted’s Son is back with Spirit Airlines and reminded us all to go to the Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival at St Columbia church this Saturday!!

·      Tom Galbraith is happy to bring a boat back and just loves other people’s boats!

·      Emily fined those that did not sign in

·      Jim is thankful that Tammy said yes!!! 

·      David Downs bought a boat unfortunately it sank but is being replaced so he is still happy!

·      Mac skiing in Arizona with daughter on opening day

·      Walter Nowotny is happy that his Grand Daughter was married in Italy

·      Bob Griffith was recognized and inducted into the Durango Winter Sports Hall of Fame 

·      Leann Hoven ticket winner – Congratulations!!

 

Program: Matt Simonson or “Matt the Magician”  

 

Matt is a junior at DHS who became interested in magic when he was just 6 years old. He received a magic kit for Christmas and has been performing magic ever since. Matt has preformed over 200 shows for audiences of up to 1500 people. Matt performed a great little magic / comedy show for our entertainment. Thank-you to all who volunteered!
