  •  We have 22 persons signed up for the June 10, 2008 Rotarian raft trip.  You can still sign up this week with Dick Sullivan.  We will meet at Santa Rita Park at 6:00 p.m. and then carpool to 32nd street launch point.

  • If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet for the 2008 DirectoryPLUS Men Who Grill, now’s the time! This year, 20 teams (the most we’ve ever had!) are competing for the coveted prizes which will be chosen by our esteemed judges: Durango Herald columnist Ann Butler; Durango Mayor Renee Parsons and La Plata County Commissioner Wally White. 

 

          This fun family friendly event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30    p.m. on Saturday June 7, downtown Durango at 12th Street     and Main Avenue! Advanced tickets will be $15 for adults      and $10 for kids (children under 5 are free); the price for     adult tickets goes up to $20 if you wait to buy at the gate    the day of the event. Purchase your advanced discounted          tickets at WRC during office hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.,   Mon-Fri) or by phone with a credit card (970-247-1242).           Tickets are also available at Maria’s Bookshop at 960 Main         Avenue. Admission includes all-you-can-eat tastes from all the grilling teams, free soda from Zuberfizz and bottled   water from Nature’s Oasis, and live music from the Kirk     James Blues Band! Beer will be on sale from Ska Brewing. 

    

  • The last Board Meeting of President Chip Lile will be held at the El Rancho, Tuesday June 17, 2008.

 

  • Nancy Bennett announced we need additional teams, hole sponsors, and volunteers to work site holes.  Thanks to these sponsors who have signed on so far:  Building Specialties; 1st National Bank; Target Rental; Wells Home Mortgage; Howard & Margie Wilson; Rainbow Printing and Fire Ready

 

  • If you want to spend a wonderful evening and enjoy great music, get on down to the ticket station behind Magpies and buy your seats for the Barbershop  Quartet presentation on June 14, 2008, beginning promptly at 7:01 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.  The Women's Prerogative will also be perfuming with our own Emily Spencer.
