Thursday May 29, 2008 - Lunch at the River Rat Cafe - Niles Bruno and the
Barbershop Quartet with a Spring Serenade
- June 10, 2008 is the date
for the Rotarian raft trip. Meet at
Santa Rita Park at 6:00 p.m. We
will carpool from there back to the launch point.
- Our newest member is Nancy
Bennett working for the Glacier Club; a former Rotarian from Norman, OK
and Paul Harris Fellow.
- Tim Walsworth - Golf
Tournament July 18, 2008 - still need silent auction items; if you would
like you can pay not to play and come join us for lunch. See Tim or Justin Osborn about this
arrangement. The Glacier Club, as
one of our hole sponsors, has donated a round of golf for two people with
cart. The have also donated a
silent auction item of 3 days/2nights at a club cottage with four rounds
of golf.
- Tami Coddington - The
Scholarship Committee awarded four scholarships based on need; one of
those included the Vocational Technical Scholarship donated each year by
Bud Deering.
- Chip Lile - Please find attached
information on our new exchange student.
If you would like to be a host family this coming year please
contact Chip Lile. Would still
like to see the 4-Way Test implemented in the elementary through junior
high.
- Jill Wark - Would like to
see us recruit new members in the coming year.
- Ted Weirather - Looking for
Red Ball and Monte Carlo
leads for the coming year. Please
contact Ted if you are interested.
- Niles Bruno - Mini Grants were
given to Discovery
Museum which will go
towards the people shuttle; a plaque with our name on it will be placed on
the side. Another grant went to
LaPlata 4H; Take the Lead, 3rd
Avenue Dance Company; Volunteers of America;
and Women's Resource
Center.
- Charlie Albert -
International Projects - Charlie would like a shadow to train. Anyone interested please see him?
