Fellow Rotarians:

Thursday February 14, 2008 a Musical Valentine Day:  We are being honored with a serenade by our own Dan Morgenstern and a guest who will be utilizing a harpsichord, flutes and other instruments to entertain us.  Along these same lines do not forget another valentine treat which can be ordered right to your door.  A singing valentine can be presented by a barbershop quartet for only $39.95; to schedule this great valentine gift, just call Maxine at 247-5073 or Hazel at 247-5751.

A fundraiser for the Rotary Clubs' Interact spring trip to Juarez, Mexico to improve a Battered Women's Shelter is set for Saturday, February 23, 2008, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smiley Building Theatre.  A movie related to our energy consumption will be shown beginning at 6:30 p.m.  There will be a silent auction, CFL Bulbs for sale and a concession with SKA brewing products, popcorn and candy.   A small $10 donation at the door is all that's requested to some on by and support our Interact Club's.

Redball 2008 was a great success.  Thank you High Noon Rotarians for getting out there and selling a tremendous amount of tickets.

In case you have not heard yet, Wayne Bedor was the big winner in the football pool.  He picked the correct square.  Mike Burns was really good in the first and third quarters.  Congratulations guys.

Congratulations also to Mike Sandburg for being acknowledge in Colorado Life as the original sponsor for erasing the carbon footprint of the train.  Hope you all read the last issue as there was a nice article on how local service clubs are working to erase the carbon footprint of our local train.

Susan Tait, Adaptive Sports Association, spoke with us last week.  Part of the program was to remind us the Dave Spencer Ski Classic is coming up February 29-March 1, 2008.  This year they are adding a scavenger hunt on the mountain.  Bring your best costume and join the fun on the hill by guessing your time and then matching it down the course.

See you Thursday.
