Chandler Jackson, without the aid of a microphone, made mention to those present and any-one within La Plata County that fines may be in order for Jim Burpee for his letter to the editor, recently published in the Durango Herald. Celebrating birthdays in August: Ellen Roberts, Bob Salzer, Emily Spencer and Jeannie Wheeldon.
Happy dollars from Tom Brossia for a new addition to the family – a 40lb lab and to Nancy Hammond for her new family addition – a 30,000lb 4-color printing press. Also Happy dollars from the following: Bob Salzer for the conclusion of the successful state fair & for his impending knee replacements, Chandler Jackson for the arrival of FLC students and some new life to campus, Mark Donahue, who thought it better to fine himself for his name appearing in the paper.
Manuel Pozo-Alonso and his wife Margie, daughter Angelica and son Austin entertained us with some songs that wowed the entire group!
Ward wished us a great week and then rang the bell to release us.
