sponsored by Steve Wheeldon. Steve
knew he had a live one when Kent
sent some big clients from his bank over to Steve’s firm, Kent was able to approve a loan for Steve’s son, and also made a
contribution to open space. All of this
passed the Four Way Test.
Announcements
Tim Walsworth
reminded everyone of the
upcoming Golf Tournament on Friday, July 21st at Hillcrest. The sponsor list was on the table. Also,
there was a reminder asking for team signups and to start thinking about
bringing in some door prizes and silent auction items. Tim also reminded us who
made the biggest silent auction and door prize donations last year.
Ward
Holmes announced a Board

room.
Sgt. of Arms
Mark Prouty tried
to squeeze more money out of the membership by announcing birthdays for Mike McGuire and Nils; however, neither was present. He was luckier with announcing Bob Griffith’s 35th wedding anniversary
since Bob was there. Happy dollars flowed from Tammy Osborne for her new job with 9R. Ellen
Roberts was happy for the upcoming opening of
Mark Larson, High Noon member, and our term limited, four term legislator, gave us a run down on this, his last legislative session. He started off by thanking his constituents for helping to pass Referendum C which enabled the State government to do considerably more than would have been possible if it had not been passed. Mark waxed eloquent with the intricacies of the 2006 legislative session and was kind enough to have left sufficient copies of The Colorado Statesman on each table for members to take home with them. Contained within was the entire legislative history of all bills introduced during this past session. Mark’s responsiveness to all his constituents and integrity will be missed when his term ends. Fortunately we have some strong contenders running for the office.
Bud was silent for the second time out of the three last appearances. Is this a trend?
Steve then rang the bell to release us.
