Info: John is a former member of the Fresno and Sacramento, California Rotary Clubs. He is currently Vice-Chairman of New American Schools. New American Schools is a non-profit, bi-partisan, public-private partnership, dedicated to creating bold new designs for public schools.

Info: Jack is a former member of the Aspen Rotary Club and the Queensland, New Zealand Club serving as President of both clubs. He was also the Rotary International District Governor for District 5470 from 1994-1995. He is licensed to practice architecture and he and his wife have retired in Durango.

The following is an update on the rec center project not announced at the general meeting: Tom G., Steve W., Jeff B., and Pete S., met on 10/31 with Cathy Metz, Director of Parks and Recreation. We were informed that the city remains committed to our project but that timing problems in the rec center budget process have prevented moving forward with planning to this point. Cathy promised that by January, the budget issues will be clearer and we will then pursue further grant applications. Landscape construction will not start until April. In the meantime, Dean Brookie has graciously consented to be our liaison with the project and help us with concept drawings that we will present to the city in January.
