We have such talent in this club...Tim Walsworth not only runs the United Way of Southwest Colorado but he also had time to sing for the President of our United Stated of America, Jimmy Carter.!!!  Amazing is it not?

Rotoract Club coordinator, gave us an update.  We have 30 students at the college signed up so far as of last week.  In the past Rotoract students have worked with Mana Soup Kitchen and  Sr. Center along with many other organizations.  It is a community based club, and these young adults are getting involved in the community.  The convention for Rotoract will be held in Los Angles this year.  We are looking for funds to send a few of our students to participate like we did at the Chicago convention this past year.

Program:

Steven Bowen/ Foreign Exchange Student returning from Sweden

Steven gave a slide show of his year as a foreign exchange student in Sweden.  He left not knowing ANY Swedish at all and within 7 months was fluent, reading, writing and speaking the language.  He had two host families while he was there, one in Rimbo, and one in Nortalje.  He was in the Media program studies program while in school.  He traveled extensively throughout Sweden and some of the surrounding countries. He played guitar in two bands while there. Made numerous lifelong friends, no doubt had a life changing experience.  It was a wonderful program and I am happy and proud to say we have one more wonderful Ambassador for Rotary.  Thank You Steven!
