ROTARYGRAM  7/2105

The meeting begun with several guests in the house.  Thanks were again given to all who worked so hard on the golf tournament as well as those who participated or those of you who came for moral support.  We are still working the numbers but it looks like we made approximately $23,000 or so which will be split between us and United Way.  That is Wonderful!!!

* Our 1st annual picnic will be held at the Fairgrounds, Sat., August nth.  We the host between the 3 clubs.  There will be a softball game and a picnic for the entire family so please plan to attend.

* The LaVia Club will be here from Mexico September 14-18.  We are looking for people to host 16 people while they are here.  We also need tour guides to show them around our beautiful area while they are here.  So anyone with a little Spanish background now is the time to step up...If you are interested please check with Charlie Albert.

* This is the last call for updates for the roster...If you have any changes you need to see Bob Chaput ASAP.

* We had our 1st inductee of the, Kathy Firestone.  Congratulations and welcome Kathy.  I think we are all very lucky to have you.

* A very sad good bye goes out to John Marshall, Keoki Sears, and Barton Cross.  You will be missed dearly.  Good luck in all your new adventures.

Our program was a joint venture with the Kwanis Club.  We were fortunate enough to have a few of the Conservatory Music in the Mountain musicians with us. This is their 9th year and they were beyond words.  We spent the next 30 minutes being pleasantly entertained by 4 incredibly talented young musicians. I think we all went away with a better appreciation for the young talent that is right here under our noses and for those dedicated master teachers that have given us these gifted wonders. Our hats are off to you all.

Until next week...
