It’s this Sunday – ALL proceeds from the train will go to our very own Red Cross.  All local Red Cross money stays in this community.

·        Charlie Albert presented Dick Pearson with a HUGE birthday cake…. (it was about 5” round and did NOT come from city market !!! )

·        Hopefully you all saw the great FULL PAGE ad in the Herald this week touting the 100th birthday of Rotary.

FEBRUARY BOARD MEETING WILL BE AT GUIDOS ITALIAN GROCERY/DELI  EITHER 2/22 OR 2/24…. BOARD MEMBERS WILL BE NOTIFIED.

SGT AT ARMS:

Patty B did a great job of fining for birthdays, gender challenged tables (you GUYS know who you are!)… and Ted, a ponytail DOESN’T count!

Patty even offered to loan the middle OF table some $$$ since they appeared to be having a hard time coming up with some bucks.

She also honored all past Hi Noon Presidents, and asked that all who had NOT been a president of any Rotary, to pay up!

FUND RAISING:

Red Ball express – get your ticket stubs in to Bill Cartwright or Mark Prouty.

MEMBERSHIP:

New Member Chandler Jackson has volunteered to update the club’s history.  So if you have plaques, banners, letters, commendations etc, please get them to Chandler.

His phone number is 247 7170 and his email is jackson2_c@fortlewis.edu.   (there is an underscore between the “2” and the “c”)

PROGRAM:

We had a great and informative program on Chaco Canyon and the archeo – astrology possibilities of some of the structures.   The presenter was “G.B” – a park ranger from Chaco.  It is still a big mystery as to how the buildings were used. The ‘great house’ appears to have been a meeting place, not a place of long term residence.  The canyon itself is 16 miles long and 2 miles wide.  There are over 150 other  ‘sites’ in the 4 corners region that make up the entire “Chaco” area civilization.
