Tom Galbraith, President, opened the meeting with a clang of the bell and Charlie Albert offered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Many guests were with us this day. Visiting were Mark Larson, Brad Blake, Melissa Jackson, Elaine Free, Gordon Smith, John Anderson, Russell Parker, Louis Day, Leslie Dean and Kaitlin, Chris George, Arnold Higby, and Ronald M. Sega.

Carl Clark was the Sergeant at Arms and Mike McGuire collected the money - a bunch of it. Guest speaker Ron Sega won the $10 drawing and donated it back to the club

Steve wheeldon asks for anyone interested in having their name entered for President Elect of the High Noon Club to call him to get on the short list.

Bob Volger has agreed to be Assistant District Governor for Durango, Durango High Noon, and Pagosa Springs.

Tom thanked Chessa and Jay, Susan and Pete, Jane and Dick, and Paulette and Clyde for hosting the Exchange Group from England. The Exchange Team from Mexico will arrive later this month and need housing for October 26 and 27.

The Group Study Exchange is still accepting candidates for trips to Israel and Mexico. Successful applicants must survive an interview process and be away from Durango about 5 weeks.

We then had a presentation by our speaker for the day, Dr. Ronald M. Sega, Dean of Colleger of Enginerring and Applied Science, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He presented a slide show and narration of the NASA Space Program. He was one of the astronauts. Photos of the world from outer space were breathtaking. Photos of the space craft exterior and interior were great also.

Dr. Sega is a Brigadier General in the Air Force and has high regard for the visionary leadership of Ron Fogelman.
