Petra greeted the assembly with her usual enthusiasm and good spirit.
Carl Clark offered a prayer. Lacking a flag, a recitation of the four way test was led by J.R.-there was surprisingly little bumbling. Matt Felling was fined for our relegation to the basement and took the fine gracefully.
Guests were introduced. Ashley Leeder and Tessa Canzona joined us from the DHS Interact Club. They related that the Interact Club, in the near future, will be decorating the 4 Corners care facility for Christmas. They are initiating a tutoring program for elementary school students and will carol at a local nursing home. Steve was introduced and described the efforts of local aid to Honduras: 22K has been donated and will fund the shipment of food and clothes via a ship donated by the Dole (fruit) Corp.
Election results: Pete Sanders announced that Tom Galbraith
has been elected club
president for 2000-2001. Congratulations, Tom!

be accepted at the Christmas party and the meeting of 12/17/98. Suggested

Steve Wheeldon gave us an update on our contributions to the Children's Museum. We have contributed $5,000 of which $1,700 went to the Bat Cave, which was a big hit at Halloween and will be a yearly exhibit. $2,500 will be used to construct an observation deck.
Jenny Land, 2nd Vice President of the Kiwanis club was summoned
from their meeting and lambasted for unfair competition in the weekend
bell ringing contest.
New Members: Scott Woods and Miss Jane Fogelman were welcomed
as members today.
Scott is a manager at A.G. Edwards, an investment company and the father
of 2 teenagers
(whoa!). Miss Jane got her name as the result of military customs.
She has lived in 30 different homes during her 38 year military experience
and told us of her near flogging in Saudi Arabia.
We are looking forward to their fellowship.
Proposed Members: Sam Stites, Brad Maris.
See you at the Christmas Party!
Respectfully submitted,
Sloth
(I miss Bear)
